The NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate (Launched 2021) is one of the UK’s most widely respected and in-demand health and safety qualifications for the construction industry. 

This NEBOSH Construction Certificate qualification covers the core health and safety issues involved in construction and aims to provide candidates with the practical skills and technical knowledge to manage construction workplace hazards.

In construction, utilities and other related industries, employers find that the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction Certificate gives staff a sound understanding of managing workplace risks.

Enrolling staff on this course enables industry employers to improve the safety culture within their organisation, helping them to minimise workplace risks and injuries, as well as complying with the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations.

This NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) course replaces the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction.

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this qualification.

It is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

You should only undertake this qualification if you reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

Course Duration

The course  will involve a minimum of 68 taught hours, and approximately 40 hours of private study and background reading to prepare for the 48 hours open book examination.

Assessments

We’ve developed a practical assessment for this practical role.

The assessment is an open book examination (OBE), which will be based on a realistic scenario, that will test both what you know and what you can do.

You will be asked to carry out a series of tasks using evidence from the scenario and the underpinning knowledge gained through your studies and revision.

You will have 48 hours to download, complete and submit your assessment.

Your assessment will be marked by an external examiner appointed by NEBOSH. These examiners are chosen for their experience and expertise to ensure that learners are assessed by the very best from our industry.

Next steps

Many people who have passed the NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK) progress to studying the NEBOSH National Diploma, which is a degree-level qualification.

Results are provided by NEBOSH after completing the course. NEBOSH send out the results 10-12 weeks after the exams. Your certificates will arrive after the results have been announced.

You can attend future training days with us for a nominal cost. but you retake the exams at your own cost.

There are no entry requirements, which makes the NEBOSH Certificate an ideal starting point for your health and safety training. Learners must have a suitable standard of English language to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.  

NEBOSH Certificates are level 3, which is equivalent to an A level qualification. NEBOSH Diplomas are level 6, which is equivalent to an Honours Degree.
